Healthy Christmas Pies.

Ok, so in our newsletter It was mentioned this would be as easy as a sugar cookie… I may have been telling a white lie BUT shopping for these ingredients will be worth the result.
I am not usually even a fan of the mince pie and could never understand how some people can’t go a Christmas without them being served but these, these were delicious!

The recipe was given to me and I am so thankful to have tried them. They will be making an appearance on my family dinner table this Christmas.

Baked Zucchini Balls.

Sometimes I feel like I have the fussiest eaters on earth, for children. I legit wonder how they have the endless energy they do, fueled by nothing but a few dried, plain cheerios for breakfast. My 7 year old daughter likes to tell everyone how she’s a vegetarian, when in reality she won’t eat meat unless it’s been processed to the point where it no longer tastes like meat. Then there’s my 3 year old son; he cries when i make him a meal he doesn’t like, but then will also cry if i tell him I’ll eat it. Yes friends, I’m an asshole parent.
So I decided to try something different in an attempt to please them, Baked Zucchini Balls. They appealed to 1.5 out of 2 kids, I say 1.5 because my boy decided 2 zucchini balls in that he suddenly didn’t like his meal and proceeded to regurgitate it onto the plate and surrounding areas….he consumed half his meal so I’ll call that a win.

Meet Saint City North member Steve Rooker. Steve turned his back to the wind and gave CrossFit a go. He showed that if you never try you’ll never know what you’re capable of and that the burden of never trying is heavier than what the barbell will ever be. Detoxifying Chopped Salad.

I don’t know about you but if you have children who recently went Trick-or-Treating and returned home with a bag full of chocolates, it takes every bit of will power (in me, at least) to not sneak a few after they’re in bed. It’s really tough. I have to inspect and shuffle through a mountain of these full size cookies and cream and Kit Kat bars and all i can think about is “Which one will they not notice is missing?”
